Help for shop owners
DealCraft puts a short game on your shop: a wheel, a scratch card or a mystery box. Customers play for a chance at a discount or a gift. You choose how often customers win. You also choose the most money the whole game may cost, and our server stops giving rewards at that limit.
Your first game
- What do I need to sign up?
- Only the name of your business. A sample wheel with two discounts is ready in your account when you sign in, and you can change every part of it.
- How do I set the rewards and their chances?
- Open the game and go to the Rewards and odds tab. Give each reward a chance to win, for example 16 out of 100 plays, and type what one reward costs you. The panel beside it shows what a month would cost.
- What is the budget?
- It is the most money the game may give away in total. Every reward handed out is counted against it. When the budget runs out, the game closes by itself.
- How do I make the game live?
- Press Publish on the game page. Before the game goes live, we check its text in both languages and its rewards. Confirm your email address first. The dashboard shows a notice with a resend button until you do.
Put it in front of your customers
- I have no website. Can I still use it?
- Yes. Every game has a permanent link and a QR code on its Sharing tab. Print the QR code for your counter or send the link in a message. It never expires.
- How do I show it on my website?
- On the Sharing tab, turn on the pop-up. Copy the line it shows you and paste it on your site once. Then press Open preview to see the pop-up on your own site.
- My shop runs on WooCommerce.
- Install the DealCraft plugin from the Integrations page. The game appears on your shop, and winning codes work in your normal coupon field.
- I have my own online payment page.
- Your developer can check and spend codes through our API. The developer docs have everything they need, including a file their coding assistant can read.
After someone wins
- 1Your customer winsOur server decides the result before the game moves. The winner sees the reward straight away.
- 2They get a codeA twelve character code appears on their phone. It works once, until the day it expires.
- 3They show it to youAt a counter, type the code on the Sessions page. Online, the customer types it into your coupon field.
- 4You mark it usedThe code stops working, and its cost is counted in the budget of the game.
- A customer shows me a code. What do I do?
- Type the code into the search on the Sessions page. Open that session and mark the reward as handed over. The code then stops working.
- How long does a code work?
- Once, until the day it expires. You set how many days a reward stays valid in the advanced settings of the game.
When a game stops
- The budget ran out.
- The game closes when the next reward would cost more than the budget has left. Raise the budget on the Settings tab to open it again.
- The maximum number of winners was reached.
- This number never goes down. Raise the maximum number of winners on the Settings tab, and the game opens again.
- I reached the limit of my plan.
- You get a warning when 80% of the games played in your monthly plan are used. Then you get 10% extra on top. After that, your live games pause and you are not charged more. Choose a bigger plan on the Plan page to start them again.
- I paused the game.
- Nobody can play until you publish it again. Codes that customers already won keep working.
